After some 27 years of trading as Tracker Software Products we have finally decided it's time we streamlined our identity globally to just PDF-XChange Co. Ltd, as we have been for some time outside of North America.
From December 2024 we have officially changed our name in all territories to be ‘PDF-XChange Co. Ltd’.
Nothing else has changed, same addresses, same staff and the same great products !
Here's to the next - 27 years and beyond.
PDF-XChange Co Team
All PDF-XChange clients should note that since November 15, 2024 the national membership of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has been on strike. The strike has resulted in the delay of millions of letters and packages being delivered across Canada. If any clients have sent payment via cheque during this period then it will probably not be delivered for some time, and there will be a significant backlog even when the strike is resolved. If you're experiencing any such delays then please contact sales@pdf-xchange.com for assistance. There are alternative options for sending cheques, such as using a courier, and different payment methods - credit card, Paypal, and wire transfer options - are available.
Kind regards,
The PDF-XChange team
Update: it was announced on the 16th December that the strike has been resolved and all Canada Post employees will return to work on Tuesday 17th December. Any delayed payments will now enter a backlog and will be processed in due course. If you would prefer faster processing then you can contact us as detailed above in order to arrange an alternative payment method.

Windows 10 Support - ending October 2025
What does this mean for me?
After 14 October 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance or security fixes for Windows 10. Your PC will still work, but MS recommends moving to Windows 11.
You can read more about your MS options from Microsoft's web site here
As far as your PDF-XChange products are concerned, nothing will change dramatically - they will still function as intended, and are likely to do so for some time to come. However, as more time elapses from the date of Windows 10 being supported, it is likely issues will begin to appear, and our ability to resolve these will become more problematic and potentially impossible - so you should start to plan for migration to Windows 11 before this occurs.
Our willingness to support you, should you choose to continue to use Windows 10, won't falter - but our ability to do so will be compromised the longer you decide to opt out of upgrading, so we would urge you to consider moving to a supported version of Windows sooner rather than later if you are using a version of Windows either out of support with Microsoft already or one for which support will shortly end.
Users of both Windows 8 and Windows 7 should also be aware that Microsoft no longer offers standard service updates or support for either of these products that have reached their end of life and users should migrate to an updated version of Windows as soon as possible.
For our part, we guarantee our products will function with the currently supported versions of Windows only - and we will still offer support for older versions, but when issues appear, as they undoubtedly will, we are limited to resolving issues within our own products, and there will come a point where we are unable to economically or practically resolve issues caused by lack of support from MS or other software/hardware installed and integrated in your installations.
Therefore we recommend all clients use versions of Windows ‘In support’ with Microsoft to ensure hardware/software compatibility and that your products security is maintained at all times.
We at PDF-XChange Co./Tracker Software Products are pleased to announce that Build 388 of our PDF-XChange V10 product line will soon be available!
Here is a short video highlighting some of the new features to be included in our latest, highly anticipated release of the PDF-XChange Editor.
Given the AI boom that's currently taking place, we at PDF-XChange couldn't resist asking ChatGPT its views on PDF software. If you somehow haven't heard about ChatGPT, it's a chatbot and virtual assistant developed by OpenAI. It uses large language models to enable users to refine and steer a conversation towards a desired length, format, style, level of detail, and language. It's trained on a vast corpus of text data from a variety of sources including books, websites, articles, and other written material. This data spans a wide array of topics and includes both factual information and general knowledge. ChatGPT's responses aggregate and summarize this knowledge, which means it can be used to find prevailing views and opinions in online articles and reviews. So we thought it would be interesting to get the lowdown on PDF software, and here's what ChatGPT had to say:
PDF-XChange Staff: “What's the best value-for-money PDF software?”
ChatGPT: "There are several PDF editors known for their good value for money. Here are a few popular options:
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: While it is one of the more expensive options, it offers a comprehensive set of features, including editing, converting, and collaboration tools.
Nitro PDF Pro: Nitro provides a robust set of editing tools at a more affordable price than Adobe, with a user-friendly interface.
Foxit PhantomPDF: Foxit is known for its lightweight software and offers a range of features similar to Adobe Acrobat at a lower cost.
PDF-XChange Editor: This is a cost-effective option with many features, including editing, annotating, and OCR capabilities.
When choosing a PDF editor, consider your specific needs, such as the features you require and whether you prefer a desktop or online solution. Always check for any free trials or versions before making a purchase."
PDF-XChange Staff: “Which one is best for a one time purchase?”
ChatGPT: "If you're looking for a PDF editor that allows for a one-time purchase rather than a subscription model, consider the following…
1. PDF-XChange Editor: This editor offers a free version with limited features, but the paid version can be purchased outright. It provides a good range of editing tools and is often praised for its performance and affordability…"
We were very pleased to see that we were ChatGPT's number one choice when it comes to being the best value for a one-time purchase. We do our utmost to combine functionality with affordability, and our “single-purchase, lifetime license” model has often resulted in our software topping review charts in a world where expensive monthly subscriptions have unfortunately become the norm. But please don't worry - we don't intend to change our business model any time soon, so you can continue to enjoy the excellent value that we offer for many years to come.
Kind regards,
The PDF-XChange team
Continue ReadingOur PDF-XChange Editor and PDF-XChange software are receiving some excellent independent reviews and comments - not that we are resting on our laurels - development to improve and refine continues at a brisk pace !
Here are just a few of the reviews and blogs being posted about the new PDF-XChange Editor that 1000's every day are downloading and using in place of Adobe's own Acrobat Reader !!!

Continue ReadingThe latest Windows 11 update will add adverts for apps launched from the start menu. From Netflix to Amazon Prime, more and more online services are now beginning to fill up with these pesky promotions - and now Windows users won't even be able to open their own internet browsers before seeing adverts, because Microsoft will soon begin pushing adverts into the start menu of Windows 11, with the inclusion of 'recommended' apps. On social media, Windows users have been expressing their outrage at the decision to include ads in an operating system that they have already paid £119.99 ($139) to access. Luckily, these advertisements can be disabled easily with a simple settings change, as detailed below.
