Bugfixes and Improvements

  • Fixed a crash that was caused by removing pages that contained selected guidelines.

  • Improved the 'Snapping' feature - invisible guide lines are now ignored when this feature is used. (T# 7162)

  • Fixed issues with number formatting in XFA forms.

  • Fixed an issue that was mixing up the subject and keyword entries for PDF information.

  • Fixed an issue where search results remained visible on pages even when the 'Search' pane was closed. (44240)

  • Fixed an issue with the 'Find' bar disappearing when two tabs for the same document are open on monitors with different resolutions and then clicked alternately.

  • Fixed a problem with dragging and dropping bookmarks when the Ctrl key is pressed - it was not possible to create copies of bookmarks inside themselves. (44283)

  • Fixed an issue with the icon size in the 'Fields' pane when users change the zoom level in the system. (44294)

  • Fixed an issue with the "Trusted/Untrusted locations and names" settings, which were made case-sensitive mistakenly. (44328)

  • Improved support for Microsoft Purview.

  • Improved signature validation.

  • Replaced some sets of raster icons with vector equivalents to better match the current UI theme and monitor resolution/zoom. These icons appear in the properties pane and some ribbon tabs.

NEW Added the ability to reverse sub-paths.

NEW Updated the 'Replace Pages' page range options to use a new page range style.

In the "Replace pages" dialog, a selection of pages has been added from the following options: current page, selected pages and manually specified pages.

NEW Added an option to fix invalid 'ToUnicode' maps for embedded fonts.

Fix fonts with incorrect unicodes. To use this feature, select a single text element in the Content panel and use "Repair ToUnicode CMap" from the context menu

NEW Added an option to use 'bottom-up Y-axis' in the Transform tool.

This option provide to reverse the coordinate system in the transform tool.  While we know that the PDF Standard uses bottom up. It is not intuitive to users to have to reverse the ruler, an option for the Transform Tool to use "Bottom Up Y Axis" would make it much easier for users to use this tool.

NEW Added an 'Audit Space Usage' command in the DocumentInfo location and the File menu.

Also was created new "Audit Space Usage" command, which can be added in any ribbon panel by "Customise Toolbars"

NEW Added a feature to merge selected layers. (T# 6326)

NEW Added an option to paste copied PDF content as stamp. (T# 6485) (40351)

NEW Added a feature to search for terms inside the 'Preferences' dialog box.

NEW Enhanced the 'Quick Launch' feature to include finding items inside the 'Preferences' dialog box. Clicking 'Quick Launch' opens the corresponding 'Preferences' dialog box.

NEW Added a live preview of the inking process for the Pencil tool when using a stylus/digitizer.

NEW Added an option to choose how to truncate document tab titles when the tab is too narrow to display all its text.

NEW Corrected the handling of special permissions on documents that restrict a user's ability to take screenshots of document content. Now, when the document prohibits it, the user cannot take screenshots or share the document in video meetings.

NEW Added an option to allow applying stamps with the previously used stamp size. (T# 6581) (40653)

NEW Added a Group Policy to the Editor Administrative Template to prevent users creating self signed certificates.

NEW Added a “Filling Rule” property for path content items.

A property of a “Path” object, the Filling Rule provides some control over how a fill is defines and displayed.

  • Fixed the Move Pages (and page range) caret "^" so that page numbering starts from '1' (T# 6555).

  • Fixed an issue in the "Change Zoom" feature that was changing the X/Y value of some bookmarks to 'Inherit'. (T#6433) (40156)

  • Fixed an issue that was present when saving document navigation points while keys, mouse buttons or 'touch' controls are in use (being held down). (T# 6345)

  • Fixed an issue where extra spaces were added by OCR when processing some hieroglyphic texts.  (35742)

  • Fixed an issue with screen reader apps not reading the current value inside combo boxes and edit boxes.

  • Fixed some issues with resizing selected content items and comments on rotated pages.

  • Fixed possible issues when pasting images from the Windows 10 Snipping Tool.

  • The 'Clear Signature' tool can now clear signatures created using a certificate from a file.

  • Shell extensions - the property handler now has an 'attachment' property for PDF files. (40557)

  • Added an option to "drag and drop" files into the Create Custom Stamp dialog box.

  • Added an option to use sequential numbers in macro functions in the 'Add Text to Bookmark Titles' feature. (T# 5776) (36804)

  • Enhanced OCR: improved OCR quality by doing additional pre-processing of scanned images to remove clouds of black dots that are created by some scanners. These dots can affect the recognition process and cause inaccurate results.

  • Added a new parameter to the BatesValue macro that enables the specification of the page from which the value is taken.

  • Added options to customize copying layers in the 'Insert Pages', 'Combine Files', 'Extract Pages', 'Replace Pages' and 'Split Document' features.

  • Improved the process of identifying form fields.
