 What are the JBIG2 compression options and how do they function?

Answer:

There are three JBIG2 compression options: Standard, Crop Borders and Symbols:

  • Standard uses the JBIG region to compress images.
  • Crop Borders locates and excludes white borders when images are compressed.
  • Symbols is the PDF XChange implementation of the Text Image Data methods detailed here.

Please note that these settings use lossless compression algorithms.
