I have entered my license key or activation code. Why are there still watermarks on output documents?
There are two possible causes for this issue. Either the license key/activation code was entered incorrectly or you do not own a current license for PDF-XChange Editor, PDF-Tools, or PDF-XChange PRO. Additionally, watermarks created in trial versions are not automatically removed when a license is purchased. It is necessary to repeat the process and use the original material again. The process of removing watermarks is detailed here.
Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
1. Click on the Help tab.
2. On the Help tab, click License Key:
The Add New License Key/Activation Code dialog box will open:
3. Click on Add New License Key...
4. Copy your license key into the text box and click Continue.
1. Click Help in the Menu Toolbar, then click Enter License Key in the submenu. The Preferences dialog box will open.
2. Click Enter License Key. The Preferences dialog box will open.
3. Click Add New License Key. The Add New License Key/Activation Code dialog box will open:
4. Copy your license key into the text box and click Continue.
Please note that extra spaces may appear at the beginning or end of license keys when they are copied and pasted. The text of the license key turns red when invalid keys are entered. If this happens then ensure that there are no extra spaces at the beginning/end of the key and try again.
