Do the PDF-XChange applications have an ECCN?
Yes. PDF XChange are pleased to report that the US Department of Commerce: Bureau of Industry and Security have provided an ECCN (Export Control Certificate Number) for the entire family of PDF-XChange applications. This was necessary because ECCNs are required in all circumstances where software applications contain the functionality to apply and enforce encryption technology, which applies to several of our applications.
Corporate users who need to distribute licenses of our products to foreign subsidiaries and comply with US Export Controls can use the ECCN 5D992. A copy of the certificate is available here.
