When you're using the features in PDF-XChange Editor, you may find it useful to save customized settings for repeated use. The settings that you use for features are remembered automatically in many cases, but there are also a range of features that include the functionality to save settings to a template that you can use again subsequently. It's possible to create multiple templates for these features, which means that you can easily switch between preset templates without the need to manually adjust the settings each time you use a feature.
All features that contain this template functionality operate in a similar manner, as detailed in the example below, which shows how to create a watermark template:
1. Open PDF-XChange Editor, click the Organize tab, then click the Watermarks dropdown menu and click Add:
The Add Watermark dialog box will open:
2. Customize the settings as desired for the template, then click the Settings dropdown arrow and click Save Current Settings:
The New Settings dialog box will open:
3. Enter a name and description for the new settings template, then click OK to save it.
The settings template will then be saved in the Settings dropdown menu and can be selected and used as desired when adding watermarks to documents:
The following features contain the template functionality detailed above:
• Accessibility Color Scheme Preferences
• Accessibility Color Scheme Preferences
• Build Table of Contents from Bookmarks
