Can the PDF-Tools SDK be used to determine document permissions and/or edit protected files?
Yes. If the document 'owner password' is known, then the PDF-Tools SDK can be used for these purposes.
If the document 'owner password' is unknown, then the document cannot be edited or altered in any way that is blocked. In these cases, not even we at PDF XChange are able to assist in unlocking the document.
